Philosophy
I've only had one lesson on philosophy, as it's a one unit and has less hours to complete, but it's actually quite similar to this blog thing. The difference is that we look at old philosophers and also talk about their theories and thoughts. At least that's what happened last lesson.
I think we do more wide topics, because we did something like "is it ever okay to kill?" or something last lesson. Most of the class said yes, for reasons of self defense and special cases if someone is terminally bed-ridden. The point of philosophy is to think. I haven't been able to do much so far because the prompts aren't that specific, deep or good, but I have high hopes for the upcoming lessons.
One thing I don't want from philosophy is a lot of homework. We already got some homework from the first lesson, and it wasn't that hard, but it was a pain to get started at home. It took like ~5 mins but the fact that I had to remember that I have homework will be a problem. Thing is, I only chose philosophy as a filler subject, as I needed only 1 more unit to make up to 12 units, so I don't want to try too hard in philosophy, but I will try my best to pay attention and try to get something out of it.
