Finished writing the script for the english vlog, so I'll record it tomorrow and edit it on Sunday. Got 93% on the advanced test. I think I came third in the year, but I don't know. I do know that there was a 100%, and a 96%, which was a friend of mine.  I've been playing some For Honor recently, and since the player base is small and the matchmaking is trash, it's either you get someone much worse than you, or much, much higher than you. To put it into perspective, I'm honor level 5, meaning I've gotten level 20 on 5 characters. The first game I found was against a honor level 125.

Got our math extension results back, and I came second with 96%. My friend came first with 98%, and third was 94%. I think us three are the staple top three of our year. I get my advanced results back tomorrow, so I hope I do well for that as well. Spiderman: Home coming is coming out next Monday, so I'll probably watch it with my friends on the following weekend.

Had the Islamic speaker come in and do her speaking thing. Instead of her having a topic to talk about, it was more question and answering about her religion and its beliefs. Most of the questions came from the society and culture class, and a lot of those were about feminism and relationships. Apparently the other extension class got their results back, and the girl I tied with for first, apparently came 3rd in that class. I'm still pretty confident that I did well, but maybe I won't get first this time around. Playing riot's new TFT, the auto chess game I wrote about before. It's a pretty chill game, so I think I'll play it quite a bit.

The teacher made us do speaking practice for Japanese, and one of the activities she made us do was Japanese tongue twisters. There were 3, 1: Wani wa niwa ni wa inai, 2: Kono neko koko no neko no koneko kono koneko ne, 3: Tonari no kyakyu wa yoku kaki kuu kyaku da. I got all of them at the end, but it was extremely difficult. The last part of the IPT assignment is finished, so I'm just going to print it off at school tomorrow, so I'll have to take a stapler to school. Thinking of doing Detroit Become Human as the second text to analyse. I picked it because it's practically just an interactive story where you make choices that pick between 40 odd endings.

It's spirit week, so there's going to be cringe everywhere. Today was the talent quest, which had like 5 contenders and all of them was below mediocre. Tomorrow is meme & vine day, which is even more outdated jokes that adults use to try and relate to the youth. Little do they know, vine was discontinued in like 2016. I reinstalled For Honor a while ago, but am unable to play it right now, as I don't have my controller. My friend is going to return it this wednesday, so I can start playing For Honor again. The english vlog thing seems to be a bit easier than what I'd anticipated it to be. I thought 5 minutes meant something like 900 words, but its much closer to like 500.

For English, we went into the library and one of the English teachers gave a small lecture on how to use Premiere Pro, but I mostly already knew what they were talking about, since I have used it before in school and at home. Finished my program for SDD, so all I have to do now is the documentation, which shouldn't be too hard, but will be super annoying to do. I tried installing premiere pro onto my laptop using the school license, but apparently the school is not eligible for licenses anymore, so I can't re-license my account and download it onto my laptop. I don't really think it matters though, because the laptop can't really handle it anyway.

Did the extension test. Not too confident if I got 100%, but I still think I did well. The philosophy thing was pretty easy as well. It's not really a test, because it's actually really easy. All of the assessment/assignments now aren't too stressful, because I have time to do them and the only test is Japanese.

There's a new type of game that's new, which is called Auto Chess. It's not actually chess, but more of a team composition game. I think it got popular because it was a mod for a well known moba game, which is DOTA 2. Now that they've made it, League also stepped in and made something like that. It looks pretty good, but I'm not going to download/play it until I can easily download it when it becomes a standalone game. I have two assessments tomorrow, extension maths and philosophy. Philosophy's assessment is dead easy, because it's just a community inquiry, which is basically just an official class debate/discussion on a topic.  I thought extension would be hard since I thought I didn't understand a big portion of the contents, but I went over it today and I think I already knew it all, I just kinda forgot about it. Maybe not 100%, but I'm pretty confident I'll get a good mark.

My eyes started hurting after I woke up. If I look straight ahead it doesn't hurt, but if I try to look at my peripherals without moving my head, as in if I look too far left, right or up and down without moving my head, my eyes start to hurt. I probably won't be able to double grade, since I missed out on a lot of lessons. I don't even know what level I'm at. I'm probably yellow 1 or yellow 2. I think I'm going to give up on making my software project graphical, because the graphics window works differently to text window. Instead, I'm going to have all the functionality on text window, while just having the graphics window show the cards.

Had the programming competition. I did an exercise where I had to make a program that draws a tree with any given height. Rules were that the top had to have a single star, +, the leaves had to descend while adding 2 to the edges, 40% of the leaves could be ornaments, and the bottom had a stump and a base. It looked a little like this:    +   *o* *o*o*   # === Since the text on this isn't monospaced, it looks a little weird. I had 2 teammates, and 1 got one of the answers, and the other had a question which was super hard, so he didn't get to solve it. Watching the matrix in philosophy. It's actually a little gory with the cables and everything, but overall, it is very good material for philosophy.

I was just playing games with my friends, and I noticed that I apparently missed a question in the math test. It was on the very last page of the test, on its own, and I accidentally missed it. I was pretty confident that I got 100%, but I guess not. I tried to figure it out just then, but the question seems a little off and not possible to solve, so I'm going to bank on that and hope it gets discounted or something. Yeah okay I just solved the question. The question was: " find all values of m in y=mx-12, that touch the parabola y=2x^2 - x - 10 ". I used the discriminant and stuff and figured out that m = 3, -5. This time I'm going to bank on the fact that I got everything else right and hope for a 97%. I don't understand how I missed this last question. I even read the question on the reading time and wondered how I was going to solve it. The main thing that threw me off was that that question was on a page on its own and the question before it perfectl...

Can access this blog through the school Wi-Fi, so I might as well do it, since we have a sub for Japanese and have nothing to do. The sheet that she gave us was apparently meant to last 40 minutes, but it literally lasted like 2 minutes. Almost finished all of the IPT assignment, all I have to do now is the hardware part, and the teacher helped me a little on that as well. The problem is that this term has a tight schedule and we almost have no time to go through the hardware stuff before we start the assignment. So a lot of people have trouble with the hardware part, like I am. Other than the IPT assignment, I think I'm prepared for all other assessments or assignments that are coming up. Math I think I'll do fine, English is on a topic that I understand, SDD is SDD, Philosophy is basically a discussion that I'm being marked on, and Japanese is easy.

Queen's birthday today, so it was a public holiday. Almost forgot to write this blog because of it. I have my IPT assignment due on friday today and my math advanced test on thursday. I only have the last part of the IPT assignment to finish, which is the hardware components that I need to research, and for the math test, I don't know what I need to study, but overall I think I'll be fine. Having this second monitor is really nice. It sometimes drops frames when I'm playing games on my main monitor, but it is really useful.

Considering doing tennis lessons with a friend on Fridays. It goes from 4 to 5 and costs $25 each lesson. While I do wanna start doing a sport, doing tennis from 4 to 5 after school then doing taekwondo from 7 to 8 straight after seems a little sketchy. Since it was super cold outside during lunch, I just stayed inside the classroom and worked on my IPT and SDD assignment after I ate. My program is fully completed with all functionality complete. All I have to do now is to make it graphical, so I had to do some designing of where everything should go. So now it's less programming more design.

One thing I like about headphones but not earphones is that they keep your ears warm. Since exams and such are coming up, we have kind of stopped playing games in large groups. I have either play alone or with like 1 or 2 other friends the last few days. I got Captain America: Winter Soldier from a friend, so I might watch that sometime soon, probably after the exams.

Since the maths test is only 90 minutes and has to skim through all 6 chapters, it seems like the test won't be going to deep into each chapter. This will probably make the test easier, but I'm revising things right now and I am going to have to revise quite a bit for it still. I was just thinking, but is there a pre and post test loop? A google search says no, but something like that may be useful. It would require both the pre-condition and post-condition to be satisfied to loop again, meaning that even if one of the conditions were unsatisfactory, it would exit the loop. Thinking about it, you could probably make something like this using a pretest loop, but just checking and changing the sentinel value at the end of the loop. Just swapped to my headset after using earphones for around 2 months, and it feels much more different. The sound quality isn't bad or that different its just the distance its coming from. For the earphones, the sound went directly into your ea...

Sometimes when I play games, lag happens and really annoys me. It's not that the internet is slow, but rather that the internet stops communicating like 30% of the packets. Sometimes, I average it around 40% packet loss, then peak to 100% packet loss sometimes. Whats even more annoying is that it happens sometimes, meaning that you'll feel like the game isn't lagging, and at one point, one of your commands just doesn't go through. Its hard to notice as well, since only that part doesn't go through, but before and after, there's no lag. If I end up saving money after getting my second monitor, I think I might spend it on a new fancy keyboard, with backlights and stuff. There's no real reason to it, and if it seems like a waste of money, I probably won't go through with it. I finished the SDD project in text, and am working on making it graphical. Right now, I can show the cards drawn, but making a text window program into a graphics window program ...

Payed for my dad's new monitor, so I can use his old one as a second monitor. Every now and then, my computer freezes up, and eventually I have to force shut down it and restart it. I have no idea what triggers it, and what triggers it. Like just now, I was just watching a YouTube video when the computer started freezing, and after a little bit, fully froze until the mouse wasn't moving. It doesn't happen too often that it matters too much, but it is annoying. My friends and I are considering all sharing one Stan account and splitting the bill. It's going to be like $3 for each of us, and it allows 3 screens at a time.
